Cycling

DesBarres Manor is your perfect starting point to cycle the scenic trails and roadways along magnificent Chedabucto Bay. With little traffic and even less development to obstruct the beautiful ocean views, Marine Drive is an ideal destination if you enjoy road cycling.

If you are the type of cyclist who prefers the quiet of trails, the Trans Canada Trail (Guysborough Nature Trail) provides an enjoyable 44 kilometre ride. Described as a “gorgeous” trail by cycling author Mike Badyk, Trans Canada Trail highlights include panoramic views of Chedabucto Bay, waterfalls and the McAllister Bridge, an impressive 60 metre cable suspension bridge spanning the Salmon River.

You can get a map of the Guysborough section of the Trans Canada Trail from the Innkeepers.
