With fresh mint from the DesBarres Manor Inn organic gardens, fresh Nova Scotia strawberries, Cape Breton’s Glen Breton whiskey and Nova Scotia maple syrup, this refreshing drink is truly a taste of Nova Scotia in the summer.
Makes one cocktail
3 strawberries, chopped
6 large fresh mint leaves
½ ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
1½ ounces Glen Breton whiskey
½ ounce Nova Scotia maple syrup
Slice of lime and mint for garnish
- In an old fashioned glass, lightly muddle the strawberries and fresh mint. Do not over work the mint as this will make it bitter.
- Add fresh squeezed lime juice, Glen Breton whiskey and Nova Scotia maple syrup. Stir to mix.
- Add ice. Stir again.
- Garnish with a slice of lime and a fresh mint leaf.
